News / Dragon Ball Z Special Selection DVD

Colis / Hero License Set & Individual Discs

News / Dragon Ball Heroes Card Gumi 2

Dragon Ball Heroes official website has been updated with part 2 of the Dragon Ball Heroes Card Gumi, which is scheduled to be released on next 22 August. Like part 1, total 12 cards (9 Normal Cards, 3 Gold Stamping Cards) and 4 different gummies (cola flavor).

Freeza's Death Beam card seems to be gorgeous 0_o

Review / V-Jump 2011 no.9 : Dragon Ball content

After Episode of Bardock chapter 2, I'll talk about the Dragon Ball content from this new issue.

First of all, the cover. With a "new" Gokû, probably drawn by Tadayoshi Yamamuro.

Dragon Ball Heroes appendix card PJ-10 (Adult Gohan), and "5 to the battle" booklet. Of course, this is a pun between "to go" and DBH part "5" (which japanese pronunciation is "go"). So go to the battle !

Just after Episode of Bardock chapter 2, a promotion page about the Dragon Ball Z Special Selection DVD. I remind that it will contain both Dragon Ball Z TV specials, 2 Dragon Ball Heroes promotion cards and other extras such as Akira Toriyama Special Comment (maybe something like he did for the Dragon Boxes ?). I ordered mine yesterday, thanks to my friend Shinta.

A double-page about Miracle Battle Carddass DB07, showing the Miracle Kira Cards. Better look than the previous Weekly Shônen Jump picture, so I confirm that cards really look failed. I mean, booster-boxe version. Because on the second picture, we can see vending-machine version of these Miracle Kira Cards, which seems to be much better. Even if GT Trunks is still an epic fail to me.

PS360 Dragon Ball Ultimate Tenkaichi. Seems that the gameplay get improved with what they call "Strike Move" and "Defense Reaction".

Arcade Dragon Ball Zenkai Battle Royale with new characters : Kid Gohan and Ginyû.

Review / V-Jump 2011 no.9 : Episode of Bardock chapter 2

Some pictures of Episode of Bardock chapter 2, the Dragon Ball Heroes based manga by Naho Ooishi. Only 15 black-and-white pages this time (19 black-and-white + 1 color pages for chapter 1).

Chilled and his followers land on Plant, and start terrorizing the villagers. Beri begs Bardock to help them, and remembering his friends' decimation on Meat, he accepts. There, Bardock get enraged by confusing Chilled with Freeza, and starts fighting with him. But he seems to be powerless...

Won't translate it fully, but Chilled dit not reveal his ties with Freeza (if he ever had). He only introduces himself as "Chilled, the greatest space pirate", while Bardock can't stop screaming "Freeza". I guess all the answers will come in next month final chapter.

News / Miracle Battle Carddass DB07 : Miracle Kira Cards

New issue of V-Jump will be released this Thursday, but here are previous pictures from the Weekly Shônen Jump, showing the all new Miracle Kira Cards from the August coming Miracle Battle Carddass DB07.

So we'll traditionally have Gokû, Vegeta, Teen Gohan, Kid Goten, Piccolo, Kuririn and... woooooonderful, the soooooooo charismatic GT Trunks ^_____^ just Bandai, what the hell... v_v

Hum... Vegeta, Gohan and Kuririn cards seem to be pretty good... but I can't stop comparing Gokû's one with the Dragon Ball Heroes part 4 *Kuririn no koto ka ?!* Super Rare Card I showed previously. Dammit, what a huge difference of quality between the 2 collections...

Anyway, there will be 2 versions of the Gohan, Goten, Piccolo, Kuririn and Trunks Miracle Kira Cards. You bet it is ! Again, booster-boxe and vending-machine ! Hope it will be "a little more different" than DB06 Broly and Gohan...

Colis / Dragon Ball Heroes part 4 nearly-fullset

Here are some pictures of Dragon Ball Heroes part 4 nearly-fullset I received today. Keep in mind that it introduces a few Namek Saga characters in standard game, such as Nail, Ginyû Special Corps and of course Freeza with all his forms.

Normal Cards set

Rare Cards set, with gold-stamping brightness

Super Rare Cards set, aka prismset

In my opinion, it's the most beautiful part since the Dragon Ball Heroes started. There's a lot of gorgeous cards, especially in the Rare Set. Here are some closer pictures without photoflash, as gold doesn't appear black.

Really love No.18 and his daughter's Normal Card (if you remember, there was a Rare Card like this in part 3). Gokû's Rare Card "black haired Super Saiyan" was made for the game, as the card action ability is "randomly change" into Super Saiyan or Super Saiyan 2. But the aureola make me think about a wink to episode 195, wherein Gokû transforms like this to fight Ginyû Special Corps in the Next World.

Probably my 2 favotite cards of the part : Kid Trunks getting Super Saiyan while training with Vegeta (wonderful remake of this, with a real gold-shining aura), and Gotenks performing his Victory Canon... hum, no, Victory Canon is ki launching from the mouth. Whatever he's doing (maybe his Galactic Donut), love his posture and gold-shining ki from his hands.

2 more gorgeous Rare Cards, still with gold-stamping brightness : Bardock about to launches his final attack on Freeza (probably one of the best Bardock card Bandai has ever done), and Freeza about to tranforms himself with the shining Dragon Balls around him.

Now the Super Rare Cards, with Super Saiyan 2 and Majin Vegeta. Hum okay, there are better versions of them in Carddass Main Series (part 19) and Super Battle Series (part 10) :o

Super Rare Cards of Zarbon and Dodoria. Like the Bardock Rare Card, I think it's the best cards Bandai has ever produced for theses subcharacters.

I finish this best selection with Freeza's final form Super Rare Card (nothing special but I find him pretty well drawn), and "Kuririn no koto ka ?!" Super Saiyan Gokû Super Rare Card, wich I find absolutely gorgeous. There has been a similarly Data Carddass Rare Card of this scene, but I prefer much more the Dragon Ball Heroes drawing, coloring and finishing.

Preview / V-Jump 2011 no.9

V-Jump official website has been updated with a preview of the upcoming issue. Dragon Ball Heroes appendix promotion card (Adult Gohan), Episode of Bardock chapter 2, Toriko Itadaki Master and Owners League 2011 appendix promotion cards. Release date : July 21, and a few days later at home !

News & Colis / Dragon Ball Heroes, Carddass Special HK, MBC

Little busy from now, so here's some pictures of what I received today by airmail :

Dragon Ball Heroes Starter Set 2, including Hero License and Avatar Card, and 4 Battle Cards which make the ultimate unit "Saiyan lineage". Avatar and Battle Cards are foil shining cards. I'll remain this set unopened.

Dragon Ball Heroes part 2 Normal Cards set. Just watch the middle-left "long haired" Trunks on second picture. Bojack movie style, yeah !

Dragon Ball Heroes part 2 Rare Cards set. Of course, what appears to be "black" is in fact gold stamped. My favorite one is the last Bûjin card. Can't see it on the picture, but character's outline is fully gold stamped.

Dragon Ball Heroes part 2 Super Rare Cards set. Again, just look at the "Bojack movie" Trunks one. Beautiful. Also like the Super Saiyan Teen Gohan card, Gattai No.13 card making his SS Deadly Bomber, and Perfect Cell card with Cell Jr.

Carddass Movie Special 1995, front and back. Although this card is made in Japan, it has been produced and distributed in Hong Kong, for the release of DBZ the movie 11 in 1995 by Edko Films. So it's something like "Carddass Special HK card", like the Carddass Special set of 6 that retakes some of the japanese Limited 2000 (and Visual Adventure Special prismset). This Carddass Movie Special 1995 is very close to the japanese Jumbo Carddass Theater Distribution (Tôei Anime Fair Summer 1994), although it's a normal-sized prism card.

By the way, some news :
- The Dragon Ball Special Selection DVD, including both Bardock and Trunks TV specials, will be released  in August 5 with 2 Dragon Ball Heroes promotion cards. I'll order it as soon as it appears on CD Japan.
- A new Shop Campaign promotion card, I guess, coming with the next part 5... tomorrow ! Ugly Gokû T_T
- Miracle Battle Carddass part 7 cardlist (only common / uncommon / rare / super-rare cards).
